Christian Perspective Rating: 5 out of 10
Intro: A movie where Christian morals are yet again put in an unsavory light.
Review: I was really looking forward to this movie. I love crime and thriller type movies. Yes, it has its crime. However, to be quite honest with you, I am sick and tired of the supposed “moral character” being a nut…becoming a nut…or having a warped sense of morals.
Jackson plays Abel Turner. A man who at the beginning of the movie is seen on his knees praying. He encourages his children to dress right, not to be a fan of immoral sports stars, and several other very good things.
It’s obvious from the get go that Abel does not like his new (interracial couple) neighbors. He makes a few cracks here and there. Nothing outrageous. However, racist…which is outrageous!
He gets pushed “over the edge” though when his children witness the new couple “christening” their new pool…if you catch my drift.
Seriously, I would be ticked too! Not criminal…but ticked. Of course he goes over the deep end and yet again morals are tossed out the window and the one character that MAY have actually had morals is a nut. Go figure.
Conclusion: There is a blatant racist feel to this movie. Something that is hard to watch and actually quite sad. There are also many other negative aspects to Lakeview Terrace, including; sexuality, scantily clad christian movies 2022 women, violence and a large number of cuss words….over a dozen of which abuse God’s Name.
Sadly, I cannot endorse this film. Even sadder, the morals of Hollywood and their portrayal of anything that stands for morality!
